The AUGC has informed the Government Delegation that, unlike the National Police, they have not yet received the gratuity corresponding to their service

The Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) denounces that the civil guards have not yet received the remuneration supplement for the device of the Municipal elections and Generals of May 28 past.

“Once again the civil guards are the great forgotten of the Ministry of the Interior and in our case of the Colonel in Chief of the 5th Zone of Murcia. It is ironic that when we are about to serve again in the electoral device of July 23, the civil guards have not yet received the remuneration complement for the electoral device of the past Municipal and Autonomous Elections of May 28″, they point out from the association .

More than a thousand civil guards provided their service last 28M, “many of them with excess hours due to the closure of the polling stations and all of them did it with professionalism and efficiency”, they point out from AUGC, and add that “however, we cannot say the same about those responsible for paying the corresponding supplement compensation that 45 days later they have not had time to carry out the pertinent procedures for their payment”.

However, the association emphasizes that the national police officers did collect said supplement last week: “We can only ask ourselves if the National Police Corps is more concerned with the well-being and in this case the remuneration of its components than in the Civil Guard or if they are simply more efficient in economic management”

AUGC states that “historically, National Police has always received said gratuity weeks in advance than the civil guardsand since this situation is being verified, it is repeated again, reaffirming our hypothesis that the civil guards are second-rate policemen”. compensation related to elections if, presumably, both the Civil Guard and the Police receive the money at the same time, once again the civil guards are underestimated both by the Ministry of the Interior and, what is more serious, by the own General Directorate of the Civil Guard”, they complain.

The association has sent a letter to the Government Delegate to urge the Colonel Chief of the 5th Zone of Murcia to expedite the efforts to make the payment of said supplement and “if it were not his responsibility, whoever is responsible for it should be raised.” “In this way, we hope that next week the payment of said bonus will be made effective before the civil guards must again provide a new electoral day on July 23. It would be ironic if a new provision of said service were carried out without having received the gratification of the precedent”, they conclude.
