City turns game in Brentford – league lead within reach

Phil Foden almost single-handedly secured City’s away win in Brentford’s 3-1 win. Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool are now in danger of losing first place.

Manchester City have reduced the gap to Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC to three points. Pep Guardiola’s team won 3-1 at Brentford FC despite being behind. Phil Foden almost single-handedly turned the game around with his goals (45th + 3 minutes, 53rd, 70th), Neal Maupay had given the hosts the lead after 21 minutes.

Due to the success of the “Cityzens”, Jürgen Klopp’s Liverpool FC are in danger of losing their lead in the table. City still has a catch-up game in hand – and could officially be at the top after 23 match days.

Klopp’s “Reds” lost the top game at Arsenal FC on Sunday 1-3. A three-way battle for the championship currently seems to be developing. A three-way battle in which Manchester City currently seems to have the best chance.
