“I can’t wait for the audience to witness the climax,” says Nolan.
After the first episode of The Curse aired, filmmaker Christopher Nolan moderated a Q&A with actors and co-writers Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie. The latter also directed and had recently worked with Nolan when he portrayed the Hungarian-American physicist Edward Teller in “Oppenheimer”. The “Tenet” maker describes the satirical comedy format from Paramount+ and Showtime with Fielder and “La La Land” star Emma Stone in the lead roles as “unlike anything I’ve seen on television before”.
“There are so few shows that really don’t have any role models,” Nolan offered his opinion, continuing: “I mean, you go back to things like ‘Twin Peaks’ or ‘The Prisoner’ or Dennis Potter’s ‘Singing Detective’ – things like these. “So you’re in an amazing space and I can’t wait for the audience to see the climax.”
