Yes, Christmas is just around the corner! Can’t you wait for the lights, mulled wine and Christmas carols to fill your ears? Then circle December 19, 20 and 21 in your calendar, because then it is the Christmas Shopping Weekend in the Stadshart.

Christmas music, competitions, lights, workshops, pine trees and extra long opening hours: during the Christmas Shopping Weekend, the Zoetermeer shopping center is transformed into a Christmas mecca.

Christmas Shopping Weekend program

The shopping festival starts on Friday, December 19 with Christmas Shopping Night. From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. you can stroll past the decorated shop windows and stock up on Christmas gifts. You don’t have to do the packing yourself, because the helpers will take care of it for you completely free of charge. And keep your receipt safe, because you have a chance to win a gift voucher of 5 to 100 euros!

The party will take place on Saturday, December 20 between 12 noon and 4 p.m. While Jingle Bells sounds through the speakers, you can see Santa Claus walking around the shops. Be sure to shake his hand, because he seems to occasionally pay a receipt for the lucky ones. If that isn’t Christmas magic!

Sunday, December 21 is all about the little ones, because then the Kids Christmas Parade will pass through the City Center. A lot of favorite cartoon characters are featured, such as Bing, Frog, Cocomelon and Dikkie Dik. The procession passes twice, at 1:00 PM and at 3:00 PM. Due to the expected crowds, there will be no meet-and-greet this year, but the parade itself is already a party.
