There were two player trades in the NHL the night before Saturday Finnish time.

Submitted a transfer request to the Los Angeles Kings Phillip Danault will be traded to the Montreal Canadiens. In exchange, the Canadiens will give a second-round draft pick to next summer’s NHL Draft.

Danault brings a lot of experience to the Canadiens’ young team. The versatile center has worked in the Kings in recent years in a role that darkens opponents.

Danault, 32, has had a quiet early season. He played 30 games for the Californians without a goal. He caught five passes.

Also another big name player, Mason Marchmentwas traded early Saturday morning.

The Seattle Kraken traded the profile forward they acquired last summer to the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Next summer’s fourth round booking round and the second round booking round of the 2027 booking event are heading in the other direction.

Marchment, 30, managed to play 29 matches in Kraken with 4+9 points.

The Canadian was effective in the Stars’ strong offensive system last season. He scored 47 points in 62 regular season games.

In the playoffs, Marchment completely froze, scoring only one goal in 18 games.
