Christmas crafts with salt dough, easy and natural

Kindergarten kids? Salt dough is perfect. One hundred percent safe, as well as being a natural product, it is widely used in nursery schools and also in nursery schools. Quick and easy, it is very malleable and can be cooked in the oven or left to dry in the open air. What to create with salt dough? Of everything.

The classic balls are certainly the easiest. Just make lots of small circles and then decorate them with rhinestones and you’re done. If you are skilled with a brush and tempera, you can also draw small stars or alternating red and white lines. Alternatively, the circles can be transformed into snowmen to which add a long orange nose, like a carrot, and two black buttons instead of eyes. For more elaborate work, you can think of making a garland with snowflakes. You need snowflake-shaped molds of 2-3 different sizes and then place them on top of each other to form a circle. Once dried or cooked in the oven, you pass a nice ribbon and hang it.

Or, you can use cookie cutters to create snowflakes, stars, Christmas trees, mittens, Santa Clauses to hang on the Christmas Tree. Then you can always color them with a brush and tempera or with food colorings; not to underestimate, when coloring salt dough, fix the shade with a transparent spray or with transparent nail polish.

A tip: before proceeding with cooking, you must remember to create the little flower so that you can hang the decorations.

Felt crafts, suitable for all children

Felt crafts are also a great childhood classic. Felt can be found in well-stocked haberdashery or stationery shops. Once you have chosen the subject, you draw it on the fabric and then cut it following the outline.

To make it even more special, you can enrich the designs with contrasting stitching and add beads or buttons to each decoration. In this case, however, care is needed because they must be glued with hot glue. Finally, after making the hole, the decoration is ready.
