Data and chips out of favor

The AEX closed 1.1 percent lower on Friday at 950.8 points. The provider of parcel lockers InPost lost 4.8 percent, after slightly lowering its profit forecast for this year. The data suppliers Wolters Kluwer and Relx lost 3.8 percent and 3.3 percent. Although the former maintained its annual forecast on Wednesday, some banks have become more cautious. The suppliers to the chip sector ASMI, ASML and Besi fell 3.1, 2.7 and 2.6 percent respectively. ArcelorMittal gained another 1.4 percent, after already excelling yesterday thanks to an optimistic forecast. Industry peers excelled in the Midkap Aperam with an improvement of 2.6 percent on its quarterly results. AMG fell 6.6 percent. The supplier of special metals such as lithium again raised its annual forecast earlier this week, but investors were already prepared for this. Air France KLM fell another 3.8 after the previous day’s loss of disappointing quarterly figures. The foundation specialist included in the AMS20 Sif fell 4.3 percent, due to its lowered forecast for next year. Brunel closed 2.6 percent higher on its quarterly results. CM.com gained 5 percent on the local market, placing it slightly above the takeover offer of 5.16 euros per share launched yesterday by its larger peer Bird. The software company rejected this this morning.
