The Chinese satellite company Spacety, which was added to the trade blacklist by the US at the end of January, has provided aerial images to the Russian paramilitary group Wagner. An official of the Biden administration has stated this, write Reuters and Sky News.

Top American diplomat Daniel Kritenbrink made the statements during a congressional hearing on Tuesday.

Spacety is a space company specializing in small satellites and satellite-based services. The company is based in Beijing, but has its international headquarters in Luxembourg.

Earlier, the company was therefore already added to an American blacklist for trading. Spacety then responded by stating that it complies with international sanctions against Russia and has no ties with the country.
