The Chinese army continued large-scale military maneuvers around Taiwan on Monday. The eastern command organizes exercises and patrols, as well as airstrikes against land targets, the Chinese army reported. The maneuvers, which have been going on for three days, are in response to Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen’s visit to the United States. Amid escalating tensions between China and Taiwan, the US has sent destroyer ‘USS Milius’ on a mission in the South China Sea.
