A police spokesperson said that the child, who was resuscitated earlier this afternoon in the Leeghwaterbad in Purmerend, was transported to hospital with a heartbeat. Shortly afterwards the fire brigade was alerted because another person in the swimming pool had become unwell.
The fire brigade is currently taking measurements in the swimming pool to find out why the person became unwell.
