Child (9) that was removed from water in the Nekker in Mechelen still in critical condition: “must resuscitate for 45 minutes”

The fire brigade, police and medical services were called to the Provincial Sports and Recreation Domain De Nekker in Mechelen on Friday. A child (9) from Waasmunster, East Flanders, had come from the eye of his supervisors. It had to be taken out of the water and resuscitated. His condition is still criticism.
