Travis Kelce once again commented on his future at the Kansas City Chiefs and also spoke about his offseason training and a rumored weight loss. His goal for the coming NFL season is clear.

The chiefs received their AFC championship rings on Wednesday on the second day of the Minicamps. For Tight End Travis Kelce, however, not too big: “I’m only interested in super bowl rings.”

The almost 36-year-old continued: “I know what the AFC championship for this organization and the Hunt family means, and the 15 victories and everything is something special that everyone else can be happy about.” However, he made it clear: “Last year was no success for me and I am motivated to ensure that we get the other ring next year.”

To work on it, Kelce changed his offseason workout, as he explained. However, he did not want to go with regard to the rumored weight loss of over 11 kilograms.

Kelce confirms weight loss

“Don’t believe everything you read on the Internet, but I have lost some weight, yes, since the end of last season,” said Kelce. “It is different every year. You have to rebuild it. This year I had some time to concentrate on running training and some things at the beginning of the offseason, for which I just didn’t have time last year. I definitely feel good and I think it will pay off.”

Kelce led the chiefs with 97 receptions last year, but almost all of his other numbers were in the basement. Accordingly, he has adapted his goals for the coming season and no longer wanted to look at individual numbers, but rather to the success of the team. “That’s how I was just knitted. I used to set such goals in my career, but now it is only a matter of going out and trying to make every play for my team.”

Accordingly, he showed himself self -critically as far as the past season is concerned: “Be the best teammate, the best leader that I can be. Last year, I think, I failed, especially in this last game, as a leader and as the one who could have got up and play. So this year I set the bar even higher than in the past.”

Kelce was also asked whether his last season will be in 2025 after this topic had already emerged in the past two seasons. However, he did not want to commit himself again: “We will try to think about something for next year,” said Kelce. “The Chiefs organization knows how much I love it. I can’t imagine playing somewhere else, so we will take care of it when time is ripe. But at the moment I am focusing on winning the championship this year.”
