Ua 76 year old woman could receive compensation of around 500 euros from Chiara Ferragni as part of the “pandoro-gate” for having purchased some packages of the dessert finished in the investigation. The pensioner from Campania, Adriana, was a civil party in the trial for aggravated fraud, but once she has obtained compensation through an out-of-court agreement she should revoke her request at the next hearing on November 4th.

Negotiations between the woman’s lawyers and those of the influencer are said to be at an advanced stage. The elderly woman, resident in Avellino, had purchased a dozen pandori convinced of supporting a charitable cause linked to the Regina Margherita hospital in Turin. Only in April 2025, through social media, did he learn that the 50 thousand euro donation had been provided by Balocco independently of sales, and not based on how much was “donated” by consumers through purchases.
The request for damages included not only the price difference – around 5 euros per pandoro – but also the emotional implications. The process and next steps
Chiara Ferragni is accused of aggravated fraud. The accusation concerns the Pink Christmas pandoro campaigns (Christmas 2022) and the “Let’s support the fairy children” Easter egg campaigns (Easter 2021 and 2022). According to the survey, these initiatives allegedly deceived consumers with “false advertising” and “misleading information”while donations were fixed and not linked to sales.
On November 4, the judge should formalize the revocation of the individual request of the pensioner from Avellino and will decide on the other civil party requests from two consumer associations. After that, it is likely that the trial will be celebrated with an abbreviated procedure, and that the sentence will arrive in January 2026.
