Chelsea FC has returned to a Champions League place in the English football championship.
The Blues ended their month-long drought of five league games without a win with an initially hard-fought 3-1 (1-1) against relegation candidate Wolverhampton Wanderers and moved up to fourth place past defending champions Manchester City and Newcastle United.
Tosin Adarabioyo (24th), Marc Cucurella (60th) and Chukwunonso Madueke (66th) scored only the fifth home win for the team of former Dortmund Bundesliga star Jadon Sancho. Matt Doherty had equalized for the guests shortly before the break in injury time (45’+5).
