Chelsea FC uses twice at Sporting Lisbon and puts a total of 74.4 million euros on the table for a duo. According to the 20-fold Portuguese champion, an agreement on the transfers of Geovany Quenda and Dário Essugo was made with the blues. Details on the transfer fee were also confirmed.
The 17 -year -old right winger Quenda therefore costs up to 52.1 million euros – of which 1.4 million euros as a bonus – and will come to Chelsea in the summer of 2026, while the 20 -year -old defensive midfielder Essugo is due to EUR 22.3 million. The latter is already planned by the Londoners from the coming season. Quenda is the number 18 teenage, which Chelsea committed to the professional team since the 2022 club was taken over by Todd Boehly and Co.
Essugo is currently awarded to the UD Las Palmas to Spain and at Sporting since 2014. In 2023 he made the leap into the first team. He played a total of 25 games for the professionals. Already in the second half of last season he was awarded to the then league competitor GD Chaves. At Las Palmas, Essugo has been used 17 times (one goal) to date and increased its market value from 3.5 million to 8 million euros-and the trend is rising. The seven-time U21 international Portugal is said to give the back-up for Moisés Caicedo at Chelsea.
Quenda was a big market value winner at Sporting, his personal stock doubled from 15 million to EUR 30 million in December. In the current season, the Youngster has 44 missions with 3,215 minutes in Lisbon, with ten goal participations. At the beginning of the season, the attacker, born in African Guinea-Bissau, had no market value. According to “The Athletic”, Quenda should receive a contract with an option for another year by 2033.
The Chelsea FC has also secured the services of the 17 -year -old left -back Denner of Corinthians São Paulo – this transfer is scheduled to take place in the summer of 2026. The blues allegedly transfer 10 million transfer, which can increase to 14 million euros thanks to bonuses. A confirmation is still a long time coming.
For the 17 talents up to 19 years old, which also include the Estêvão (17) and Kendry Páez (17) coming in summer 2025, a good 339 million euros flowed. Thanks to the fixed commitment of Quenda, this sum increases to just under EUR 400 million.
