Sony announced via its blog which free PlayStation games are available for the month of October. Accordingly, there are again three games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. So if you have a PS Plus subscription, you can download the titles for free.

Injustice 2 (PS4)
The same minds were responsible for the dark fighting game “Injustice 2” as well as for the very successful “Mortal Kombat”. The game was released in 2017 and, like the first part, is based on the DC universe. At the center of the main story is Batman, who tries to continue to ensure law and order after the fall of Superman. Injustice 2 features both single player and multiplayer modes. The player can then choose between different DC superheroes or villains.
The game has a very good score of 87 on Metacritic. And the players themselves also give eight out of a possible ten points. Among other things, the character design and the selection as well as the versatile story are praised. In addition, the combat system also inspires many. The game actually costs 19.99 euros for the PlayStation; PS Plus subscribers will get it for free in October.
Hot Wheels Unleashed (PS4 and PS5)
The “Hot Wheels” universe is probably one of the most famous in the racing game genre. In the still quite new title “Unleashed” there are new vehicles and tracks. You can then compete against a friend in two-player mode or online in PvP mode against up to twelve other opponents. Players can also use the editor to create their own route profiles.
The racing game has a Metascore of 78. Players rate “Hot Wheels Unleashed” even better with 8.1. Both the routes and the controls earn praise. Actually, the racing fun costs 49.99 euros. As part of PlayStation Plus, these costs will be eliminated in October.
Super Hot (PS4)
Superhot is a first-person shooter with a difference. While the genre is usually known for its action-packed gameplay, in Superhot time only moves when the player moves. On the one hand, this gives you more time to think, but on the other hand, this time is also necessary because you are often hopelessly inferior to your opponent. This coupled with a surprisingly complex story makes “Superhot” a highly recommended game.
Above all, many like the innovative gameplay. This is reflected in a meta score of 83 and a user rating of 7.3. However, some criticize the small size of the game. The shooter normally costs 24.99 euros in the PlayStation Store. If you have a PS Plus subscription, you should get the entertaining game for free in October.
PlayStation Plus Collection free for PS5 customers
Since the PlayStation 5 has been available since the end of 2020, the PS Plus games currently on offer also apply to the new console. But Sony goes one step further and gives all PS5 buyers the Plus Collection with a total of 20 games, including some hits.
The collection is intended to provide a basis for owners of the new console, for which there are not many new titles yet. The games are available for free download and can be played as long as PS Plus is subscribed.
