After Charli XCX with her album “Brat” triggered a real pop hype and the summer of 2024 bore the unofficial title “Brat Summer”, the Brit now has another surprise in store for her fans. It is confirmed: Charli aka Charlotte Aitchison will now also work in the film industry.

“The Moment” is the name of Charli XCX’s first film, for which she has now signed a contract with A24. Not only did the project originate from an idea from the 32-year-old, she will also be the producer of the film. And that’s not all: the “Mean Girls” singer will also star in the film herself. “The Moment” will be the first project from her recently founded production company Studio365.
Some of the people involved in the film are already known. Among others, Scottish photographer Aidan Zamiri will celebrate his directorial debut with the film. He was also the one who wrote the script together with the London-based author Bertie Brandes. Alexander Guy Cook, or AGCook for short, who is considered a co-producer of BRAT, will compose the music for “The Moment”.

The Brit is also expected to appear in Julia Jackman’s “100 Nights a Hero”, in the erotic thriller “I Want Your Sex” with Olivia Wilde in the lead role and in Cathy Yana’s upcoming production “The Gallerist” alongside Jenna Ortega, Catherina Zeta- Jones and Natalie Portman appear.
And a tour too?!
In addition, Charli XCX has a “Brat” tour coming up in 2025. Starting February 6th, the 7-time Grammy nominated musician will be playing some major arenas and festivals around the world – starting in New Zealand and Australia. In Europe she will be heard almost exclusively at festivals, including the “Love Green 2025” festival in Paris and the “Primavera Sound Porto 2025” in Porto. However, the singer is not coming to Germany for the time being.
