Chantal has a clothing store and café in a: ‘I am in love with entrepreneurship’

With a big dream and a stubborn attitude, Chantal started her entrepreneurial adventure two years ago. She really wanted to go into fashion and was allowed to present a rack of self-selected clothing in her mother’s lunchroom. It became such a success that she opened her own store shortly afterwards: Studio C Shop. She now sells women’s clothing, children’s clothing, jewelry, accessories and has a café in the store. “Entrepreneurship has always been my goal.”

Studio C Shop sells clothing, coffee, gemstones and is also a location for all kinds of cool creative and spiritual workshops. Chantal presented her first collection in Bij Daan, the lunchroom of her mother and his husband. When they decided to move to a larger building two years ago, Chantal was able to take over the space. “I always wanted to do something in fashion and entrepreneurship is in my blood. What started as a women’s clothing store has now grown into many businesses in one.”

Fashion, café, spirituality and more

Chantal had her first job at a clothing store in Stadshart Zoetermeer. That’s when she noticed that she loves working with fashion. “It’s rewarding to see how people are overjoyed with their new outfit. I think it’s wonderful that it can help with that,” she says. Chantal has also always been interested in spirituality and personal development. She therefore organizes workshops in the store about gemstones and essential oils, among other things. These are often provided by external companies and the space can also be rented for this purpose. The café in her shop once originated as a place where you could have a drink between shopping, but is now also a popular hotspot in Stadshart Zoetermeer for takeaway coffee.

Not ready yet

With all those companies under one roof, Chantal never has to be bored and that’s a good thing. “I don’t like sitting still. When I had the clothing store, I quickly noticed that I wanted more. More depth. Do more for someone else.” For example, Chantal is working hard on opening a webshop so that people throughout the Netherlands can order her clothing. She is also organizing a cool event at Stadsboerderij De Weidemolen on September 30, together with other entrepreneurs from Stadshart Zoetermeer. “There are all kinds of stalls and fun activities for young and old to enjoy.”

New audience

Although it is purely a coincidence that Chantal ended up in the Stadshart with her Studio C Shop, she wouldn’t have it any other way. “It’s a lively place. Moreover, there are all kinds of great plans to make the area even more attractive. I am very curious to see what kind of new audience this will attract to my store. I look forward!”
