Canadian The Murdoch Murder Mysteries returns to the program with the newest episodes of the 18th season completed this year. These will not be the last, as the 19th production season has already been filmed, and it is currently being shown in North America.
Then a few things have changed in Yle’s series since last seen. Viewers will immediately notice the renewal of the original logo in the first hand, the first time since the series began in 2008. The opening episode also introduces a new character: Korean police officer Albert Choi, played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee.
William as Murdoch continues Yannick Bisson. Hélène Joy too will still be seen as Julia Ogden, but she is no longer a regular. After 17 seasons, he is no longer seen as a guest, not as the main star, and the situation will not change in the 19th season either. Ogden’s absence is explained in the series by the fact that he currently works in London. He also has his daughter Susannah with him. That’s why Murdoch lives like a bachelor.

Now in its 18th season, Joy only stars in two episodes. They celebrate a milestone: the 300th part of the series, which we will see on Tuesday, November 18. Let’s start with episode number 288. The new century dawns, and Murdoch, who is ahead of his time, adopts new investigative methods to solve murders in Toronto. They include fingerprint recognition and ultraviolet light, among others.

With the promotion, Murdoch has become Inspector, while Brackenreid has moved to Police Chief. However, blood pulls Murdoch onto the field. In the opening sequence, he is literally on the field, namely the battlefield. He participates in a show-like battle, where of course no one should actually die. How are you doing?
