Changeable summer weather means less attendance than last year

In total, Westtoer registers almost 700,000 tourist overnight stays on the coast from Thursday evening to Saturday night. Taking into account that the extended weekend is one day shorter than in 2022, the number of tourist overnight stays is lower (-3%) than last year.

The number of day tourists who came to the sea during the extended weekend is estimated at approximately 250,000 over the three days combined. Due to the changeable summer weather, this is a lot lower compared to an extended weekend with nice summer weather.
