The Hertha managers will definitely not be happy about that! The planned change from Myziane Maolida (24) to the Turkish first division club Ankaragücü has burst.

The winger thus returns to the training camp in Austria. Why didn’t the planned loan deal work out? BZ learned that there were several contractual reasons why Maolida didn’t accept the offer.

But one thing is clear: Hertha would like to give up Maolida. The left winger came from Nice in 2021 for around four million euros and should stimulate the offensive with speed, tricks and goals. At the time, coach Pal Dardai (47) called Maolida a “fantasy player”.

But he never made the breakthrough. So far, Maolida has had two goals and one assist in 22 competitive appearances – and those responsible lack the imagination as to how it should become even more.

The transfer window is open until August 31, by which time a mutually satisfactory solution should be found.
