Chandon Artground: The festival of art, music, gastronomy and cocktails

“Change the look” is the leitmotif of the fourth edition of Chandon Artgrounda unique festival in which visual arts, music and gastronomy coexist to create an unusual experience. Three days, between November 30 and December 2, will give the opportunity to enjoy this great art festival, which this year opens a new location. The place where the event will take place is called Space 6, is on the Costanera (Av. Rafael Obligado 6340) and will open its doors for the first time to host the festival.

The artist and producer Gonzalo Solimano is the curator of an edition that will fully exploit technological possibilities to achieve immersive spaces, with the public at the center of the scene. Solimano is director of the digital platform artlab and the MUTEK Digital Creativity Festival and has planned a route for this event that promotes experimentation. “Virtual existence is imposed as a sign of the times, where art emerges and rebels against disconnection and generalized alienation. The route designed for Chandon Artground proposes the search for a narrative that, far from separating, brings together all the languages where artists express themselves. These are mutant works that mobilize, excite, connect, shake and electrify. These creators, contrary to any dystopian story, could be the guardians of a new sensibility, which includes an illusion of the future,” Solimano explains in the curatorial text of the exhibition.

Expressions

Which artists are on the Chandon Artground tour this year? Dano Marello creates an immersive digital art installation, with a very particular poetic fantasy, in a labyrinth of light built on images of architecture and landscape with 3D design. Marello works in collaboration with VYV, in charge of video installation, the fundamental supports for current digital art. “It is interesting to observe how the technical and artistic parts dialogue in this creator’s installation,” explains Solimano.

“On Himself” is the name of the performance by Melisa Zulberti, which takes place on three platforms, where three dancers dialogue through movement. On each of these platforms, a phone camera takes an audiovisual record of the dance and projects it. These images contribute to the entire work. The music that accompanies the performance is by the musician Julián Tenenbaum.

“Eyes with legs” is the pseudonym by which the cartoonist and visual artist Diego Martínez is known, who together with the designer Anormal will present an immersive creation with projection and light, added to a sound piece, which will tell a story in just 5 minutes.

Works by Laureano Solís and Dano Marello

Three artists from Córdoba, Laureano Solís, Ignacio Bruno and Sofía Garazurret are the authors of “Ecos”, an interactive work where the public will be invited to stand in front of “rings” or hoops of light, to star in caricatures or digital versions of themselves.

With the idea of capturing public participation in a mural, a call was made to “Gualicho” (Pablo Harymbat), a “street art” artist, whose paintings are spread throughout the city. For Chandon Artground will create a collaborative piece that meets the basic requirement of the event: that the public feels part of the experience being exhibited.

The multimedia artist and DJ. Sebastian Seifert He has a project that he has been working on for many years, where music and images merge; a crossing today enhanced by the possibilities of artificial intelligence. Three of his works will be projected on a 50-meter-long screen, creating an immersive environment for the event’s musical proposal. Precisely, in that space, three bands will be protagonists. The first is 1915, with an indie rock format; the second is Kermesse, electronic music crossed by organic Latin American music and, the third, is Plastilina, a pop band. Fernando Pulichino will be the DJ. resident during the three days of the festival and Pabels, Anita B Queen and Otto Bungethe guests on each day.
