The World Cup in Denmark, Norway and Croatia should be the next career step for Marko Grgic and Nils Lichtlein. But the two youngsters were braked surprisingly hard.
The last main round game against Tunisia had used national coach Alfred Gislason to give his multi -players such as Johannes Golla, Renārs Uščins and Julian Köster a break. You should protect forces for the quarter -finals against Portugal, which was known to go wrong: 30:31 after extra time, Germany was eliminated, and the frequent players hadn’t really worked.
Grgic wrote history against Tunisia
Anyone who was definitely very fresh were the two top talents grgic (21) and Lichtlein (22) – but gislason gave them almost no time. Many experts in the stands in Oslo did not understand that, especially since Grgic had thrown eleven goals against Tunisia and thus thrown himself in second place from all German scorers in a game at all the world championships played so far. Only Uwe Gensheimer had (twice) to 13 goals

A match later experienced how quickly something can be like a historical one. When the opening phase against Portugal was completely misjudged (after ten minutes it was 1: 5) the Eisenacher Rückraum shooter, who currently only has Dänen superstar Mathias Gidsel in front of him in the Bundesliga goal list. But it was cleaned very quickly for him: a goal scored, then he ran in the Portuguese defense block and celebrated a striker foul – and was sitting the entire rest of the game with a training jacket on the equivalent bench.
Lights as accurate as Uščins
Lights may have felt similarly punished. Although playmaker Luca Witzke had a very weak day again, the backup middle man only got minimal probation opportunities, as before in almost all World Cup games except for said Tunisia game.
The closer look at its effectiveness does not exist: in a total of 83 minutes of use during the complete World Cup, lights achieved twelve goals, i.e. every 6:54 minutes one. This is quite close to German scorer Renārs Uščins (35 goals), who was on the floor for almost four hours – and hit every 6:42 minutes.
“He also made many mistakes”
The Sportschau explained his dealings with grgic and light as follows: “Marko would have just been able to throw the striker foul. This is more complicated in the quarterfinals.
Then the national coach Grgic wrote something in the family book: “He must and will certainly be a more complete player, he has to improve above all in the defense.”
Interesting many clubs – also from Hanover
In the Bundesliga, the belief in it seems to be enormous. Several top clubs are amplifting him, according to Hannover-Burgdorf, good cards in the poker around the goal scorer should rumored. When asked about this, Grgic gives an insight into his type of mobile phone use: “I lie on the bed more often and read all of this. Then sometimes I have to laugh because 95 percent of these rumors just don’t feel right.”
On the Sportschau proposal, then simply disclose the accurate five percent times and thus create all speculations from the neck, he reacts with a resounding laugh: “Good idea! But unfortunately I can’t say anything about that in public.”
