Championship-level players are suspected of embezzlement – The club boss is aware of the case

According to Iltalehti, two Mikkelin Kampparien ice ball players are suspected of embezzlement.

– Let’s say that the investigation is ongoing, comments the crime commissioner, head of the investigation Timo Häkkinen from the Eastern Finland Police.

The title of the investigation is gross embezzlement.

– The suspects have already been heard, Häkkinen says.

– The case will proceed in the coming months (for the prosecutor).

The punishment for embezzlement can be a fine or imprisonment. The scale of imprisonment for aggravated embezzlement is from four months to four years.

Embezzlement is considered aggravated if the target is very valuable property or a large amount of funds, says the police on their website.

Kampparit plays in the Bandyliiga, iceball’s main league.

Kampparit has not dropped suspect players from its lineup.
