FC Sevilla won 3-0 (0-0) against Copenhagen in Dortmund’s Champions League group on Tuesday (October 25th, 2022) and can still dream of the round of 16. Kai Havertz shot Chelsea to victory in Salzburg and into the knockout phase.

Youssef En-Nesyri (61′) and Isco (88′) scored for the Spaniards and brought Sevilla within two points of second-placed Borussia Dortmund. Shortly before the end, defender Gonzalo Montiel made the final score. In the 94th minute, Copenhagen’s David Khocholava was sent off with a straight red for a kick in Isco’s Achilles tendon.

BVB welcomes Manchester City in the evening. If Borussia gets at least a draw, then Dortmund is as good as qualified for the round of 16 because of the much better goal difference (then: +9 compared to Sevilla). A BVB win over Man City would qualify for the round of 16.

Salzburg can only hope for a short time

RB Salzburg, on the other hand, still has to worry about entering the knockout stages. The Austrians suffered a 1:2 (0:1) defeat against Chelsea at home. Mateo Kovačić put the “Blues” in front (23′), Chikwubuike Adamu equalized for Salzburg shortly after the break (49′). But the German international Kai Havertz scored for England fifteen minutes later and shot Chelsea to victory (64th). For Havertz it was his first goal of the season in the European premier class.

Salzburg is still second in Group E until the evening, but could still be ousted by Dinamo Zagreb or AC Milan in the evening.
