Paris St. Germain won the quarter-final first leg against Aston Villa. Villa coach Unai Emery had been on the counter. The plan did not work. The freshly baked French champion won 3-1 (1-1) on Wednesday and fell just his role.

With the second score, however, the guests from England took the lead by Morgan Rogers (35th). A shiny Desiré Doué made up before the break (40th). The Georgian Star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia increased with a remarkable solo shortly after the change of sides. Nuno Mendes used a plug -on pass to be technically strongly used to the final score (90. +1).

Dembélé canceled

Villas Coach, the former PSG coach Unai Emery, had hired his team extremely defensively. Little surprising whether the French -clear favorite position of the French. The question was not: does the team from Birmingham play with a triple or four chain? Emery chose a chain of six. And should initially choose the right tactic.

Because the team of Luis Enrique did not make a breakfast despite its clearly better play area. Above all, Ousmane Dembélé was deregistered at the strong Boubacar Kamara. A single attempt to shoot from the initial phase of the game was on the post, but Argentina’s world champion keeper Emiliano Martinez was on the post. The “Kvara-Messi” on the part of the Parisian, Kvaratskhelia, hardly came into play.

Villa twice in front of the goal – and leads

Switching and counter moments came about in view of the massed defense work by the English. An uncertainty by Gianluigi Donnarumma in the French goal showed an uncertainty – but nothing more. But the guests still cheered.

Because the second counterattack by Aston Villa was sitting. After winning the ball in the midfield, it went straight to the left towards the baseline, where Youri Tielemans used the Morgan Rogers, who only had to make the leg long. An impact goal. But only apparently.

Paris shakes and compensates for

The hosts seemed shocked by the goal – but that didn’t affect everyone. Because Desiré Doué was unimpressed and tested Martinez with a hidden low shot that rolled from the post to the back of the lying keeper and from there towards the gate. But the goalkeeper scratched the ball from the line.

But Youngster Doué – 19 years old – did not give up, moved from the left only seconds later and put everything in a right shot that turned beautifully into the right kink of the English goal.

Kvara-Messi shows his class

Paris kept his line at the beginning of the second 45 minutes and put the “villans” under pressure. The second goal then fell against upset English: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia took the center line on the left line, pulled towards the goal, stroked the ball past the opponents and drog the ball under the latte at an uncanny speed – a dream goal!

After Martinez blocked a shooting attempt by Paris captain Ashraf Hakimi, the hosts drove their energy back a little. After an hour, Marco Asensio had to be a little bizarre: the Spaniard is currently under contract with PSG, but is loaned at Villa – the loan player now played against his regular club.

More game shares, but none Punch

The returned efforts of the hosts helped the English to go to more game shares. But when Rashford & Co. penetrated into the last third, only harmless degrees jumped out (Rashford shoots exactly on Donnarumma, 69.). In return, Hakimi martinez overcame, but the goal was not rightly given due to offside.

From the 59th minute, Emery sent five fresh players to the field – including the English national striker Ollie Watkins. And the doorbell rang again in the Aston Villa goal. Because Medes did not miss a perfect pass in added time and increased with technically strong individual performance to the final score of 3: 1.
