In the evening, the football world is looking forward to the duel between Bayern and Paris. Before that, the city of Munich has a lot to do.

Before the semi-final second leg of the Champions League between FC Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain, the traffic situation in Munich has come to a standstill. Subway line 6 has already been closed. “Due to a fire brigade operation at the Dietlindenstrasse subway station, the subway had to be evacuated with around 1,000 football fans on board,” the Munich police told X. “Therefore there are currently traffic disruptions in this area.”

Fans and other road users should avoid the area. According to the “Bild” newspaper, an e-cigarette triggered the fire alarm. The train is now to be replaced in order to restore scheduled operations. Meanwhile, videos are spreading on social media showing an empty subway car with clouds of smoke wafting through it.

A sold-out Allianz Arena is expected for the duel between Bayern and defending champions Paris. Head coach Vincent Kompany took the Munich supporters to task: “We want 75,000 people who give their all. We definitely want to win, and for that we need the support of the fans. We need the power of the Allianz Arena, it is a legendary place,” emphasized the Belgian after the first leg. Around 3,700 fans are currently expected from Paris.

In order to meet FC Arsenal in the final of the premier class in Budapest on May 30th, the German record champions have to defeat defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Allianz Arena at home. After the 5-4 spectacle in France a week ago, PSG goes into the semi-final second leg with a one-goal lead.
