Champions League | Draw: who will FC Bayern, BVB, Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig meet?

On Thursday, the draw for the Champions League group stage will take place in Istanbul. Who will FC Bayern, Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen meet?

sport.de reported here from 6:00 p.m. in the live ticker from the draw.

+++ Five German teams in the group phase +++

FC Bayern wants to win the title, while BVB and RB Leipzig want to survive the preliminary round, unlike in the previous season. Eintracht Frankfurt wants to give a good business card at the first appearance in the premier class. This also applies to Bayer Leverkusen, which has been rather disappointing on the big stage in recent years.

Whether the five German representatives achieve their goals in international competition also depends to a large extent on their group opponents. Of course, in the Champions League there is a risk of hard chunks even before the knockout round.

In order to complete the group phase in time for the Winter World Cup in Qatar, it ends with the sixth matchday on August 1st and 2nd. November. After that, the round of 16 pairings will be drawn.
