Champions, Dybala out, Allegri with Villarreal calls up 2003 Soulé

Argentine like Joya, Matias plays in the Juventus Under 23 team. As soon as he was added to list B, the coach called him for the Champions League away match. Because with the qualities of him he can always be useful …

He has already set foot in Serie A, in Salerno and Venice. In full recovery: too little to fully savor the effect. But Matias Soulé’s seasonal path has been clear up to now, growing. Centered on growth in the Under 23s, where he was the protagonist with goals (four, between the championship and the Italian Cup) and assists (one) in the over 1600 minutes played: not bad for a 2003 class who should play in the Primavera and instead puts on experience among professionals.

FIRST EUROPEAN CALL

Allegri’s new call comes for the Champions League match: away match at Villarreal, valid for the first leg of the round of 16. Without Dybala, one with the characteristics of him (especially in the case of a trident) can always come in handy. As soon as he was added to list B, Soulé was confidently awaiting a European call-up, but perhaps he did not imagine it to be so close. But the season continues to offer him some nice surprises, after the call to the Argentine senior national team which gave him another moment of unexpected joy. This year in the European field he has already left the signature, with two goals and an assist in the Youth League, and he certainly does not want to stop the positive streak. He will have the chance, he will try to assert himself even among the greats.

IN THE SECOND TEAM

However, his training remains linked to the activity with the Second team. The Argentine has grown a lot since the beginning of the season, now he is able to reconcile more the alternation between his flames and the moments of sacrifice of a match and, consequently, has improved the management of the 90 minutes a lot. “We are always very proud when one of our players gets the call from the first team, he is rewarding for everyone’s work”, underlined the Under 23 coach Lamberto Zauli many times during the season. Who recently also received the compliments of Max Allegri: “The young people who come to train with us are ready, it means that Juventus is doing an excellent job in the youth sector.” Soulé is one of the most precious pieces of the Juventus nursery.
