The playoffs in the Ascension tournament for the Valorant EMEA League will take place without teams from Germany. CGN Esports and Focus failed in the group stage.
The end for the DACH champions CGN Esports, who started with great ambitions, is particularly bitter. After an opening win against Dsyre, three narrow 1-2 defeats against Acend, SAW and Digital Athletics followed. The Valorant professionals from the e-sports organization from Cologne repeatedly showed their skills, but in the end there was a lack of consistency for the really big hit.
Things went slightly better for the international team of the German e-sports organization Focus at the Ascension. With two wins and two losses, the team says goodbye with a balanced record.
While the German e-sports organizations are condemned to watch, the rosters of Apeks, Gentle Mates, SAW and Acend meet in the playoffs. For them, the dream of the EMEA League remains alive for the time being. The winner of the Ascension secures a place in the highest Valorant league in the EMEA region for at least two years.
