RRome, 8 June. (askanews) – Cesare Cremonini fills up at the Circus Maximus in Romewith a double sold-out date. Announces album release later this year a record that he defines as “breaking”and which will mark the end of live shows in large venues. «No more sequins. These are the last 5 concerts with big numbers» says the Bolognese artist, who has set the capital on fire. Before the live show he wanted to talk about his new project, and how the saxophone, an instrument he learned in a few months, was his medicine for rebirth after a difficult period.

«I am here to announce to you that I have an album ready, which I have created in this period, a very important album that will be released by the end of the year – says Cremonini -. It’s a very special album for me. It had never happened to me to stop a wheel, marked by tour, album, break, new album, new tour. Life led me to experience something deeply impactingand music came to my rescue (or maybe I went towards it) and I made a record in four months.” Then he adds: «I’m not one of those artists who gets too worked up about things, I would very much like every great event I create to be the starting point for something even more important. I always think that the songs are the most important thing because one day all this will end… but the songs instead remain and can remain forever” said Cremonini.

«The new album interrupts a path in which numbers have become almost an obsession». The Bolognese artist, in fact, announces that “the next album won’t take me to stadiums”. «I won’t do a music and voice tour», he assures. “A rock and roll recordrecorded in a London studio, a very powerful record. Where would I like the first date to present the project to be? In London, where everything was born.”

Of the two dates at the Circus Maximus, Cremonini underlines: «It is a special location. It’s the first time for me and this stage immediately gave me calm, tranquility and security”. The artist is clear: «This concert represents a turning point for me». The Cremonini Live26 continues, with appointments at the SNAI La Maura Hippodrome in Milan (10 June), at the new area at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari – Music Park Arena in Imola (13 June) and closing at the Visarno Arena in Florence (17 June). Almost 1 million spectators, in less than a year, and over 350 thousand people expected from all over Italy for these six concerts.

The concert on June 6th at the Circus Maximus also becomes a major television event that will be broadcast in September in prime time on Rai1. Alongside Cremonini, some exceptional guests on stage: Lorenzo Jovanotti, Elisa and Luca Carboni.
