CEO Bodo Bölzle retires after 25 years

After more than 25 years as managing director, Bodo Bölzle is stepping down from management of the Amann Group.

The yarn manufacturer from Bönnigheim announced on Friday that he will retire at the end of the year. He will join the Advisory Board at the end of the year.

During his time at Amann, he turned the company into an international player with plants in Germany, Great Britain, the Czech Republic, Romania, China, Bangladesh, Vietnam and soon in India. The factory is scheduled to start first deliveries of industrial sewing threads from the third quarter of 2023.

“After Bodo Bölzle informed us about his desire to go into well-deserved retirement, we dealt intensively with the tasks of the future management and the prospective development of the Amann Group,” said Katja Pielenz, shareholder and member of the advisory board of the Amann Group. “We see our social responsibility with regard to the comprehensive sustainability of our economic activities as a central point.”

In the future, the management will be expanded by Ivo Herzog and Arved Westerkamp. Herzog will take over as Chief Sustainability & Innovation Officer for this newly created area. As Chief Sales Officer, Westerkamp will be responsible for sales.

“It is now a question of designing a future-proof business model in which corporate interests and sustainability criteria go hand in hand and thus make a significant contribution to solving the global challenges in the textile industry,” says Westerkamp.

In addition to the new members Herzog and Westerkamp, ​​Chief Financial Officer Wolfgang Findeis and Chief Operating Officer Peter Morgalla are still part of the management board.
