“I got out of hand.” For example, carnival artist Lamme Frans describes the performance with which he celebrated his 11th anniversary last November. The dazzling anniversary show full of spectacular guest appearances in the Klokgebouw in Eindhoven can be seen on Brabant+from Saturday 8 February. “We all filmed it to look back, otherwise it was Sund,” says Lamme Frans.

It was in 2013 that Lamme Frans came out his first song ‘Everything in one’. On Nielson’s song Frans made a carnivalesque text, with lots of beer and other drinks, in short: he drinks everything in one. “That text is not only autobiographical, but it is also still written on the original beer mats on my wall.”

Beer, Tubas and Trombones
After that first song a new squatter followed almost every year. “A nice carnival song can be made of all the songs. It is mainly about the idea and the story that you want to tell in the song. Some beer, tubas and trombones and a lot of confetti and there is really nothing going wrong.”

For 11 years, Lamme Frans has been driving the carnival crackers together with famous outliers such as ‘Wake up with a beer’, ‘Fijnfishenie!’ And of course ‘Hands Hands Floral Blind’. “A real carnival anniversary, that is of course efkes well at the same time!”, Says the cheerful carnival singer.
