CD&V Bruges also goes to the polls with a new name

CD&V Bruges has announced that they will go to the electorate in the municipal elections of October 2024 under the name ‘Bruges CD&V mayor list’. The list is led by current mayor Dirk De fauw, while current alderman Franky Demon takes third place on the list. Demon is also ready to succeed Dirk De fauw when he will say goodbye to his title of mayor in the course of the next legislature.

Only list of mayor in the ranks

The choice for the new name arose from a sense of pride for the city and the fact that CD&V Brugge is the only list that currently has a mayor in its ranks. With De fauw as leader and his popularity in the city, the party seems to be in an optimal position for the next municipal elections.
