There was no excess mortality in the Netherlands in the last two weeks of January, the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) reports on the basis of provisional figures. It is the first time in almost a year that no excess mortality has been registered for several weeks, according to Statistics Netherlands. Last year this was only the case in the spring, one week in May and one week in September.
