Causa Rammstein: CDU/CSU politicians want to invite Shelby Lynn

Shelby Lynn is scheduled to speak at an event about violence against women.

Politicians from the Bundestag parties CDU and CSU want to invite Shelby Lynn to an event organized by the Union faction. In the context of the scandal surrounding the band Rammstein, and above all the alleged allegations against singer Till Lindemann, Shelby Lynn should speak from the perspective of those affected. As the “Spiegel” reports, the event is planned for the fall.

The initiators for Lynn’s invitations are the CDU MPs Julia Klöckner and Dorothee Bär from the CSU. They want to talk to the Irish woman about violence against women. In June, Lynn reported waking up with bruises and memory lapses after a Rammstein concert in Vilnius after party. In particular, she accuses singer Till Lindemann of inviting young women to the so-called “Row Zero” using alcohol and drugs. Several other women later joined the allegations.

The politicians Bär and Klöckner are said to have met Shelby Lynn at an event organized by the “Women 100” initiative. Lynn had given a lecture there about her experiences and about women’s solidarity. “Since we, the CDU/CSU parliamentary group, have been campaigning for this topic for a long time and do not want to focus on the alleged perpetrators, but above all on the victims, we have invited Ms Lynn to the German Bundestag for the autumn without obligation invited to an event organized by the CDU/CSU parliamentary group,” the politicians wrote in a joint letter.

A specific date has not yet been set, but Lynn has explained to “Spiegel” that she is willing to attend the meeting. In court, however, Shelby Lynn was able to win against Lindemann.
