At the turn of the year, the ex divorced BVB kicker Mats Hummels (34) and is now officially back on the market. Cathy enjoys the new freedom and writes under her snapshot: “Right now I’m alone, not lonely. Not married, single and doing what I want.”
The celebrity couple separated two years ago, but have always maintained friendly contact and want to keep it for their son Ludwig (4). At Christmas, Cathy Mats declared herself “Besties for Life”. So there was no War of the Roses.
But still the pain of separation. Hummels recently revealed on Instagram about the past time: “To be honest, there were days when I thought I’d never wake up. Because I was so ‘broken’. My weight kept going down and I had panic attacks at times because I was so clueless.”
But now that the ring is off her finger, Cathy can let go and enjoy. But she also dared to make her first attempts at flirting. In November, Hummels reported on her first date in 15 years at BILD.
“I’m really very shy. It’s really hard for me to talk to men,” said Cathy on BILD Live. The model is “ready for a new love, but you can’t force it either”.
