Cathie Wood was also infected by AI fever. However, the star investor recently not attracted her attention to industry primus Nvidia, but on a little-known stock.

• Already eight-largest participation of the ARKK fund
NVIDIA is the figurehead of the current AI hype, because thanks to its technological advantage, the chip designer dominates around 80 percent of the world market for AI high-performance processors and is therefore the undisputed market leader. This is also reflected in price development. In view of the course jumps in recent years, however, some market observers are wondering whether Nvidia is now not overvalued and therefore look around for an alternative.
Cathie Wood buys stocks from Tempus Ai
It is interesting in this context that Cathie Wood, CEO of the asset manager ARK Invest, has regularly acquired shares from Tempus AI this year – several times in March alone. After bought over 9,000 shares of the AI company on March 3, she only increased a few days later on March 6 (over 200,000 shares), on March 11 (94,251 shares) and on March 12 (29,845 shares). In Cathie Woods flagship Ark Innovation ETF (ARKK), Tempus Ai ranks eighth after these purchases on the list of the greatest participations by the ARKK fund.
The interest of ARK Invest in Tempus AI began at the end of last year when the Ark Genomic Revolution ETF (ARKG) started for the first time at the company on December 6th. Since then, Tempus Ai has quickly risen within the various Ark portfolios.
AI use in healthcare
Tempus AI drives the use of artificial intelligence in healthcare. The US company wants to revolutionize active ingredient and medication research using artificial intelligence and ensure accelerated research breakthroughs. In addition, his AI applications focus on the use of tools to support clinical decisions. The focus is on the analysis of clinical and genetic data to enable doctors to develop personalized treatment plans.
The main product of AI applications is Next, a AI platform that aims to identify and minimize supply gaps for oncological and cardiological patients. With Olivia, Tempus Ai also offers a AI-based, for iOS and Android available health app that connects and analyzes patient data.
Cathie Wood-“Buy-the-Dip” approach
Cathie Wood is known for supporting large ideas for the future with a lot of money. Due to her extremely successful stick picking, she achieved real cult traffic jams during the Corona pandemic and was often mentioned in the same breath with star investor Warren Buffett. But after that it was no longer so good for her.
Critics therefore accused her of sticking to loss positions for too long and even buying them up again and again. But the investor remains true to her line, for example, when she accessed vigorously after a double -digit course slip of the Tempus Ai share – triggered by disappointing quarterly numbers – in February 2025.
