Giving continuation to a week quite busy at the meteorological level and that last Friday brought us rain, storms and hail as a gift in various sectors of Catalonia such as the regions of the interior of the province of Barcelona, those of the south of Girona and the central coast crossing the metropolitan area of the Catalan capital, this Saturday, May 13, we will continue under the influence of a DANA that is generating an episode of intense rains, storms and hail that extends throughout the territory.
It will be a very similar Saturday to yesterday, in which from the end of the morning the showers and downpours will begin in mountainous areas of the northern half -Pyrenees, Cadí Pre-Pyrenees, Guilleries, Montseny- and that will later expand its coverage to other parts of the territory in an irregular manner.

Already Looking at the after-dinner meal, these precipitations will extend to any point in the territorybut with special incidence in the north of the pre-coastal and coastline, in the northern crown of the metropolitan area and the western regions of Central Catalonia.
In this sense, the Meteorological Service of Catalonia has activated rain intensity alert in Maresme, Moianès, Osona, La Selva and Vallès Oriental and Occidental. There it is expected that these precipitations will discharge with some intensity, exceeding 20 liters in less than 30 minutes locally.
But, in general, the precipitation will be of weak to moderate intensity and, unfortunately for our water reserves, it will accumulate quantities between scarce and little abundant, although locally it is accompanied by a storm and locally by hail.
The snow level will be at 1,800 meters from noon and above 2,500 meters it may accumulate around 20 centimeters of new snowwhich would be a blessing, albeit a rare one, considering the drought that affects Catalonia.
