Castle concerts in Elverdinge are a success
The unique domain in and around the castle of Elverdinge is normally never open to visitors. It is the private domain of the Count and Countess of Elverdinge.
The harmonies of Elverdinge and Vleteren and the Chorus choir perform castle concerts in the style of The Night Of The Proms. The two concerts each attracted about 1000 spectators. The count and countess have always supported the Royal Harmony of Saint Cecilia. The family and the castle are part of the history of Elverdinge.
“There have been several castles. The original was near the church. It burned down in the 18e century and rebuilt. And when my grandmother got married, they decided to build this castle. The most important period is the one in which we lived here. That is 30 years that we have been happy in this domain”, conclude the count and the countess.
