Had only taken over in April

Bundesliga relegated SK Austria Klagenfurt goes to the 2nd league without Carsten Jancer. The German contract expired at the end of the season will not be extended. The 50-year-old had only taken over the relegation-threatened Carinthian at the end of April, but under his leadership, Klagenfurt even slipped to the end of the table and relegated in a logical consequence from the highest division.

In the 2nd league, the club is now trained by Rolf Landerl by Lake Wörthersee. The 49-year-old ex-international was recently co-trainer from Jancer, before that he had been head coach of the fourth-class amateurs of Austria since the summer. In the 2nd league, Landerl was already head coach in Horn and the Südstadt.

“Rolf Landerl knows the club, the environment and the team. In the conversations, it quickly became clear that he is the perfect solution for Austria because he was totally identified with our orientation. He wants to work with young players, push them and develop them. The coaching team with Rolf Landerl at the top enjoys our trust and receives our full support,” said Managing Director Sport Mario Brkljaca.
