A car caught fire in Sportlaan in Nieuw-Buinen around 11 p.m. tonight. The vehicle was parked on a patch of grass in front of a home.
The fire appears to have started at the front of the car. How that could happen is not clear. No one was injured in the fire.
About an hour later it was also hit in Emmen. There a car caught fire at the Orverlterbrink. There is less damage to the vehicle than in Nieuw-Buinen.
