Central trainer Andy Carroll leaves Girondin’s Bordeaux a year before his end of the contract this summer. In September 2024, the 36-year-old switched from Amiens SC to the fourth French league crashed because of a forced relegation. “I just love football and it was an opportunity to play for a large French club. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter what level you play on,” the Englishman Carroll said almost a year ago about his motives for the transfer. According to “Sud Ouest”, the contract is terminated without Bordeaux having to pay the veteran a severance payment. The former Liverpool 41 million euro purchase achieved eleven goals and three templates in 23 games in the 2024/25 season.
