Adele surprised her good friend James Corden in Los Angeles. They filmed the final episode of Corden’s YouTube series Carpool Karaoke together.
James Corden had already announced in 2022 that he would no longer continue his “Late Late Show” and the popular YouTube series “Carpool Karaoke”. The Briton wants to move back to England with his family from the USA. Now the last episode of “Carpool Karaoke” has appeared on YouTube – with Corden’s good friend Adele.
The 34-year-old surprised Corden at his home in Los Angeles and invited him to get in the car with her. The moderator usually sits at the wheel of his show. In the YouTube video, the two can be seen singing some of Adele’s biggest hits – such as “Rolling in the Deep”, “Hometown Glory” and “I Drink Wine” – blare. Adele even revealed a secret about “I Drink Wine”: The Grammy Award winner wrote the song after a very personal conversation with James Corden.
“This is the very last time I’m doing this, and I was blown away that you did this for me,” Corden said while driving. The final episode of The Late Late Show will air Thursday (April 27) on US television on CBS and Paramount+. In 2016, Adele and Corden had already published a joint “Carpool Karaoke”. With 260 million clicks, Corden’s episode is the most clicked YouTube clip.
