According to Caroline van der Plas, it is completely unnecessary that the public broadcaster of tax money makes all kinds of entertainment TV. The foremost of the BBB wants to cut back on the NPO and has ideas how that can be achieved. “The NPO, there is a lot of it, as far as we are concerned,” said the politician in Café Kockelmann.

A bit far

Host Sven Kockelmann thinks that is going a bit far. “Yes, you even want to see what programs can or cannot be broadcast as far as the NPO is concerned.”

“In fact, you want to look and critically assess which entertainment programs belong to the public broadcaster and are financed by the central government.”

Yvon

Sven then starts an excerpt from the Yvon Jaspers show Boer Zoekt Vrouw. “Get rid of or stay?” Sven asks.

And then it appears that the farmer’s dating show is not welcome at the NPO if it is up to Caroline. “You don’t necessarily have to go to the NPO. A commercial broadcaster that sees something here can also take over.”

And first dates? “Can also be with a commercial one. These are not programs – I really like it – that really have to go to the NPO.”
