Carolin Kebekus is pleased that church employment law has been changed and that the sexual orientation of employees can no longer play a role.

“However, a theologian aptly said to me: “Professionally I am now an enrichment for the church, privately I remain a sinner.”, said the comedian of the German Press Agency in Cologne. According to traditional Catholic doctrine, homosexuality is a violation of God’s commandments.

Kebekus has left the church himself, but still considers himself a Catholic. “Rome is always confrontational, not reforming,” she said. “I find that very unfortunate. Because if this institution were really there for everyone, that would be a huge enrichment.”

The Catholic Church is also the subject of the first program of the “Carolin Kebekus Show”, the new season of which starts on Thursday at 00.00 on ARD.
