Didn’t take over until August
Former professional Carlos Tevez has extended his contract as coach of CA Independiente by two years until December 2026. “I am happy at the club, very happy. We are working for a better Independiente and with a very serious, ambitious and long-term plan,” explained the 39-year-old, who only took over in August and has since scored an average of 1.64 points from 14 games and saved the team from relegation. Independiente is the former attacker’s second position as head coach after Rosario Central.
