Carlo Boszhard is no longer furious with Jan Uriot, the star journalist of the Privé. Just under eight years ago, the presenter could strangle him, but now everything is peaceful again.
It is already the end of 2014 that Carlo Boszhard participated in Maestro, the TV show in which celebrities play conductor. The presenter did an excellent job, but according to Privé star Jan Uriot it was all screwed up. “He has had lessons beforehand. It would have been clear from the start that Carlo Boszhard should be the big winner.”
Carlo furious
Frits Sissing, the colorless presenter of the program, reacted bewildered. He openly wondered what the hell was going on with that Jan van de Privé. “Perhaps Mr. Uriot once had an affair with Carlo, I don’t know. If you are good in the Netherlands, that is not allowed.”
At home Carlo was eating himself with anger. After a few days, he exploded and announced legal action. “This is very bad. I’ve tried to rise above it, but I can’t anymore. I really wonder why the hell they do this. I have never seen this in 25 years of television.”
In the end Jan turned out to be wrong, because not Carlo but Frans van Zoest (Spike) won the TV program.

How does Jan view this eight years later? He still remembers it. “I know Carlo. I have to admit that I have had a little bit of trouble with him. We also got a lawsuit because of him. Yes, that was about Maestro”, he looks back in his online section What does Jan think?.
Jan doesn’t really want to say too much about it anymore. “I won’t go into too much detail about it, because that’s not allowed anymore. Yes, I had written something very ugly, but the nice thing about Carlo is that we can just look each other in the eye again and we have great fun with each other again. So that’s really nice.”

Nowadays Jan never makes such bold statements. “I have softened up a bit lately.”
Finally: what does Jan think of Carlo getting married to his friend? That could just have to do with their wish to have children, suggests the Privé journalist. “Is a lady already pregnant or is an adopted child arriving? Maybe that’s why they get married. I don’t know, it could be.”
