Carl Huybrechts about the drought that threatens his olive grove in Spain: “People will soon have no drinking water here”

The drought that has been plaguing Spain for weeks is threatening the production of olive oil. “Spain supplies half of all the olive oil worldwide,” says former sports commentator Carl Huybrechts (71), who runs an organic olive grove in Andalusia. He tells his remarkable story to HLN: “The fact that our harvest will be meager is a minor problem compared to the lack of drinking water that will affect tens of thousands of people.”
