A car in Assen was destroyed by fire early this morning. The car was parked on Vredeveldseweg.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, and arson has not been ruled out. At the beginning of this month there was also a car fire in the Vredeveld district.
A motorist saw his car spontaneously catch fire last night when he was driving on the N863 at Weijerswold between Schoonebeek and Coevorden. The driver noticed that something was not right and was able to pull the car over just in time. It is unknown how the fire started. No one was injured.
